
It was a nail-biter, back and forth match for the Junior High Scholastic Bowl team who pulled ahead to win 220-175 against Cissna Park tonight. Owen brought in 60 points, Alex 30 points, and the team contributed 130 points! Way to go Chargers!!

Tri-Point came up short tonight against Grant Park 4-25, 12-25. Congratulations to Grant Park on their regional win.
Despite the loss, this has been an excellent year for Tri-Point Volleyball with a combined 46 total wins. The high school finished with the second best JV record in conference and the varsity team made it to the regional semifinals and wrapped up the season with 4 all-conference and 2 all-area selections.
Our junior high teams concluded the year as the Tiger Tournament runner-up, regional semifinalist, and regional runner-up. Thanks to all parents and supporters that came to matches this year to cheer on our teams. Most of all, thanks to all Tri-Point players at the high school and junior high for all the hard work they put in this year. The future is very bright for Tri-Point Volleyball.

Congratulations to the Junior High Scholastic Bowl Team on their victory Thursday night against Prairie Central!! Their record now stands at 3-1 after this latest win of 230-80. Owen brought in 70 points, Alex 20 points, and Ali and Kara contributed 10 points each. The team as a whole earned 120 points!

In a total team effort and their best match of the season, Tri-Point won their rematch against Donovan 25-21, 21-25, 25-21 to advance to the regional championship. Grace Richie had 5 kills and 3 aces, Ashley Estrada added 4 kills and 4 aces, Lexa Porth had 2 kills and 3 aces, and Madelyn Yohnka led Tri-Point with a team high 7 kills.
This group of volleyball players have worked so hard all season, and tonight they rallied around an injured teammate to have a shot at only the second regional championship in volleyball since 1995.
Tri-Point will take on Grant Park at Grant Park this Thursday at 4:30. No matter what the outcome is in the championship match, we should all be so proud of this team! Congratulations Chargers!

Tri-Point’s 8th grade team won their opening regional match over Lorenzo Smith 25-7, 25-3. Tri-Point combined for 28 total aces. Lexa Porth had a team high 14 aces, and Grace Richie and Khloe Miller-Dyrby each added another 4 aces each. Congrats Chargers on a big win! The 8th grade team will now get their rematch against Donovan in the regional semifinals this Tuesday at 5:30 at Grant Park.




The JH Scholastic Bowl Team started off on a great run with St. Paul's Lutheran School-Buckley, at the start of the match, and then lost the next several questions. We gained some ground but ended up behind 130-220.

Piper City Pre-K enjoyed the sunshine today with bubbles and sidewalk chalk!

A second victory for the JH Scholastic Bowl Team who won 215 - 85 against Iroquois West! Alex had four correct buzz ins for 40 points, Owen had 6 correct buzz ins for 60 points, and Kara had one correct buzz in for 10 points! The team contributed an additional 105 bonus points!! Way to go Tri-Point Chargers!!


Junior High Awards Night :
JH Awards Night will be held on May 16th at 6:00 PM in the Piper City Gym.
These awards will recognize our outgoing 8th graders and academic achievement in the classroom for JH students. Parents will receive a letter if their student will be receiving an award that evening. If you have any questions please call 815-686-2247.

JH sports awards night will be held on April 12th at 6:00 pm in the Piper City Gym.
The following athletes will be recognized for their hard work and efforts this year; Cross Country, Softball, Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Cheerleading and Volleyball. (Track will be held at a later date)
We hope to see all athletes and parents there!


Tri-Point’s 7th grade came up short against Donovan in the regional semifinals in a great match, 19-25, 24-26. Khloe Miller-Dyrby led the way with 2 digs, 2 assists, and 5 kills. Madelyn Yohnka added 2 kills, an assist, and an ace, and Addy Honeycutt and Josie Harris combined for 3 kills and 3 aces.
Despite the loss in the semifinals, Tri-Point’s 7th grade team had an excellent season and came a long way from last year. Congrats Chargers, and make sure you support the 8th grade team in their upcoming regional match on Saturday at 11 am in Grant Park.
