Junior High:

Mark your calendars! The upper elementary/junior high spring music concert is a week away. The concert begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday May 4 in the junior high gym. The program includes the 4th and 5th grade music classes, band I and the junior high band and chorus. Also featured will be the song "Music Is," a piece written for and by the 2019-20 junior high chorus. The song was written in 2019, but was not performed due to Covid restrictions. Joining the chorus for the debut will be some special guests from that 2019-20 chorus. Awards will also be presented to band and chorus members.

The Junior High Scholastic Bowl Team came away as REGIONAL CHAMPIONS last night against Dwight with a final score of 220 to 115!

A few weeks ago Anna Maraviglia from Flying Plumtree Studio in Gardner came to do ceramics with our 6th grade Science classes and Art Club. The 6th graders made pickle weights and the Art Club made pickle jars (for when they make pickles later in Science class.) The kids really enjoyed working with clay, and with Anna's help made amazing pieces. She took the ceramics back to her studio to glaze and then fire them in her kiln. The kids got them back this week and were so excited to see their amazing finished work! Now they need to make some pickles...

Attention:
JH Track practice is cancelled for tonight.
Thank you
